The agency has received support from the United Nations Secretary General's Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) to implement projects aimed at buidling and sutaining peace with a view to promoting women and youth participation in leadership and decison making processes.
The Communication Associate position is located at the UNFPA Country Office and is part of a team led by the Head of Office. He/She works in close collaboration with the Programme and Operation Teams. He / She is under the direct supervision of the Programme Analyst Communications to ensure effective support to the UNFPA CO on communication and visibility matters of UNFPA’s Peacebuilding Projects.
As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan.
This position is open only to nationals of The Gambia and legal residents with a residency permit, the status of refugee or with the status of being stateless.
