In this video, we introduce Jestina Greywoode, a teacher and peace educator, who participated in a Training of Trainers (ToT) on Early Warning, Peacebuilding and Mechanisms for Effective Dispute Resolution, through UNFPA The Gambia's support to WANEP The Gambia, under the UN Peacebuilding funded Women and Youth Project. Jestina believes that she is an instrument of peace and she is working to create a better community for herself, her daughter and all sectors of the society. According to her, the ToT helped instill a sense a responsibility in her as she is currently trying a carve out a career for herself in Policy Design and Implementation, through which she believes, she can better advocate for the rights of women and young people, especially with regards their participation in leadership and decision-making.
